Throughout the history of the world, bronze sculptures have been treasured for their beauty, durability and detail. About 3,000 BC, the Mesopotamians invented a new metal alloy called bronze by melting copper and tin together, which they cast solid.  By 1,500 BC, the Egyptians perfected the “Lost Wax Method” which allowed for hollow castings that maintained strength and beauty, but reduced weight.  Bronze castings are extremely durable and will literally last for thousands of years,
indoors or outdoors.

It is very rare to find original art in cemeteries. Virtually all cemetery statues are usually copies of the great sculptures of history, and are made from less expense materials such as concrete.  However, genuine, contemporary bronze sculptures can be found.  They are considered genuine fine art if they are good quality original compositions, and not copies of previous works.

Collectors around the world consider the original sculptures of Max Greiner, Jr. to be modern masterpieces because of their quality and anointing. Greiner begins his creative process with prayer and research, after receiving inspiration from the Holy Spirit. The artist then carves his original compositions out of clay or wax, which takes three to twelve months.

After prayer, Max will also provide his clients with free design consultation, regarding the design of a custom base, or prayer Garden. In 1974, the artist earned an Environmental Design degree from the College of Architecture at Texas A&M University.  Max Greiner, Jr. is very rare since few sculptors have his exceptional architectural design ability and spiritual background.

Greiner's bronze sculptures are cast in the USA by one of the largest art foundries in the world, Eagle Bronze of Lander, WY.  Christians, Monte and Beverly Paddleford own this famous art foundry, which has cast more monumental sculptures than any foundry in the world, it is believed. The labor-intensive bronze casting process takes three to six months. The Paddlefords and their staff also pray over all the work they create for their artists.

If one on Max’s original Christian compositions would symbolize and honor the life of your loved one, please let us know. It would be an honor to serve you.
